Shirley H. Stock, 88, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, passed away there Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
She was born March 9, 1935, in Spangler, PA a daughter of Christopher H. and Hope Whited Ladenberger. She married James H. Stock February 4, 1956, and he preceded her in death October 14, 2008.
Shirley was a 1954 graduate of Barnesboro High School in Barnesboro, PA. While in high school, she enjoyed playing saxophone in the school band. She was also an excellent seamstress while in school. Shirley and Jim operated Morrows Cottage at the corner of Comstock and Utley Avenues in Conneaut Lake during the 80’s and 90’s. As a member of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, she sang in the choir. She also worked as a waitress for over 35 years at several area restaurants including Mama Bears and Mama Bears Country Inn. She was a former member of the former Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department #5. She enjoyed life and especially enjoyed raising her four daughters and five grandsons.
She is survived by her four daughters, Christina Sirochman (Paul) of Philadelphia and their children, Stephan and Samuel, Kimberly Raup of Edinboro, Holly Lane of Florida and her children Nicholas and Connor and Jacqueline Uzarski of Florida.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Emery Lee Morrison III and two sons-in-law, Vaughn Raup and Michael (Fred) Uzarski.
A graveside service and interment will be held at a future date in Lakeview Cemetery.
