Obituary

George H. Maxwell, 81, of Cranberry, passed away on August 24, 2023, at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh. George was born on May 21, 1942, to the late John and Geraldine (Beatty) Maxwell. He was a graduate of Cranberry High School and worked for Conair as a Service Engineer for many years. While working for Conair he enjoyed traveling to the many different locations work took him. George loved to go golfing at his favorite courses: Lucky Hills and Wanango, and often golfed with his Conair friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and camping, especially at Kinzua. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

George married his wife: Patricia (Myers) Maxwell on December 29, 1990. She survives at home. Also surviving are his children: Jodi Baker-Lewis of Franklin; Georgia (Al) Monserrat of Boca Raton; Scott Maxwell of Polk; Michael (Kimberly) Glaubach of Manassas, VA; Marie (Pete Thompson) Maxwell of Mt. Lebanon; Howard Glaubach of Sarasota, FL; Jennifer (Joseph) Taylor of Franklin; and Julie Glaubach of Manassas, VA, grandchildren: Amber (Jeff); Stephanie (Bud); Ben (Ashley), Dominique; Azrael; Faxon (Alexa); Damien; Shayna; Talia; Duncan; Kai; Malcolm; Maisie; Finn; Quinn; Peter; Adam; Zachary; Noah; Gabriel; and Augustus, great-grandchildren: Aubrie; Lillian; Parker; Rhenn; and Tripp, siblings: Twin brother Jerry Maxwell; Murdeane Heller; Marjorie (Tom) Kerr; Susan (Al) Neidich, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his first wife: Robin Phillips Maxwell, infant daughter: Kelli Maxwell, granddaughter: Lilly Glaubach, infant great-granddaughter: Marleigh Rice, and brothers: John Boyd Maxwell II and James Irid Maxwell.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. Funeral services will be private.

Interment will take place in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
