David F. Brown

David F. Brown, 83 of Conneaut Lake, passed away on August 11, 2023 at Meadville Medical Center. David was born on July 7, 1940 in Hershey, PA to the late Roy and Lydia (Fasnaght) Brown. He was a graduate of Hershey High School and went on to Penn State, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He worked for many years as Senior Director for LTV Steel. During his time at LTV he designed many steel plants in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Alabama.

David was Christian by faith. He was a member of the Midway Civic Club on Conneaut Lake and served as President on multiple occasions. He loved being on the lake fishing and driving his boat. He enjoyed flowers and being outdoors. He also enjoyed antique clocks and repairing them. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

David married his beloved wife, Sharlene M. Lyons on February 28, 1965. She survives at home. He is also survived by his children: Michelle (Doug) Wade of Chesapeake Beach, MD; Sue (Keith) Ludwig of Easton, MD; and Marianne (TJ) Nicoletti of Mentor, OH, seven grandchildren: Andy, Zack (Misty), and Alisa Wade; David and Isabelle Ludwig; and Emily and Alex Nicoletti, great grandchildren: Gabriella; Addison; Levi; Ronnie; Averie; and Connor, siblings: Donald (Faye) Brown and Lois Brown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son: Ronald D. Brown, and brothers: Arthur and Earl Brown.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd, Conneaut Lake, where visitation will from on Thursday, August 17, from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, August 18 at 11 am.

Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
