Robert G. Shepard

Robert G. Shepard, of 88 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, passed away on November 9, 2020 at Quality Life Services in Grove City. Born June 16, 1935 in Karns City, PA he was the son of Lawrence and Mable Lauers Shepard. In his early years Bob worked at Walkers Chevrolet, the State, Stoneboro Borough and then retired from Sandy Lake Borough after 15 years. Bob served in the United States Army from 1958 – 1960. Bob in his younger days enjoyed hunting, gardening and tinkering with cars and lawn mowers. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren, no matter what they were involved in, sports or music. Bob is the youngest of seven children, and they all preceded him in death. Bob leaves behind a son, Robert Shepard and his wife, Debbie, of Stoneboro, a daughter, Robin Bevan and her husband, Jeff, of Stoneboro; five grandchildren, Jon Shepard and wife, Selina, of Mercer, Chris Shepard, of Stoneboro, Rosie Shepard, and fiancé, Brayden Graham, of Grove City, Jeffrey Bevan and Mason Bevan all of Stoneboro. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 2– 4 PM and 6– 8 PM. Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10 – 11 AM, with the funeral service at 11 AM with the Associate Pastor of Oak Grove Church, Ben Ziegler, Officiating. All CDC guidelines will be enforced Full Military Honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
