Joseph E. Stewart

Joseph E. Stewart, 69, of Princeton, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at his home. Joe was born on August 2, 1948 in Oil City to the late Joseph M. and Beverly K. (Montgomery) Stewart. He married Donna M. Christy on February 8, 1975 in Emlenton, PA. She preceded him in death on July 21, 1995. Joe was a retired truck mechanic in Princeton. He is survived by one son, Michael (Amanda) Stewart of Princeton; one daughter, LeeAnn (Jeff) Jones of Copperas Cove, TX., eight grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister. Joe was preceded in death by both parents. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with the Reverend Russell Hines, pastor of St. Mark's Church and Northville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Stoneboro, PA, Sandy Lake Township. A memorial service will take place on March 3, 2018, in Princeton, IL, at the Princeton Wesleyan Church from 1:00pm until 3:00 pm with a service starting at 2:00 pm.
