John Wesley Mathay

John Wesley Mathay, has passed on to that place somewhere over the rainbow, July 31, 2018.  He was born on Easter Sunday in 1953 in Greenville, PA the son of Harold James Mathay Jr. and Evelyn B. Mathay.   He is leaving his brother Harold James (Barbara) Mathay III, sister Donna Jean King, and brother Robert L. (Patti) Mathay along with his extended family and friends.   John was a resident at Polk Center where he was supported by its caring staff. The family would like to acknowledge the effort and skill of the staff at UPMC Seneca and UPMC Presbyterian for their compassion in treating our special family member. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome on Friday, August 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10 Beil Hill Rd, Greenville, PA 16125 at 11 AM on Saturday August 4, with the Reverend John Coleman, church Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Delaware Grove Cemetery.
