James "Jim" C. Jack

James “Jim” Calvin Jack, 76, born August 12th, 1945 of Stoneboro, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in the early morning of May 22, 2022 at AHN Wexford Hospital.

A lifelong farmer and 40-year employee of George J. Howe Company, Jim was an honorable, deeply religious man, with an extraordinary work ethic and a hearty sense of humor. Jim lived a simple life that focused on Faith, Family and Farm. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorene “Lori” Nutt Jack. Together, they shared a love for square dancing, traveling to DuBois, Treasure Lake, and playing bingo.

Jim hails from a long line of teachers including his late parents Raemon and Irene Jack. He joins his late siblings, Carl, Robert and Patricia Jack.

Memorial services honoring Jim will be held on June 17th at Irwin Presbyterian Church at 10:30am with burial at Mount Irwin Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Mrs. Lori Jack, c/o Orchard Manor Personal Care, 20 Orchard Drive, Grove City PA, 16127. Donations are welcome in Jim’s name for Irwin Presbyterian Church, 3653 Georgetown Road, Stoneboro, PA 16153

Jim’s character will be his legacy. With friendships too many to count and generosity too large to measure, as a final gesture true to character, he sold the farm to a family member in need. It would be most honorable to remember Jim as a happy man riding his tractor, dancing with his wife and excitedly yelling, “Bingo!” grinning ear-to-ear with his famous “Jack” smile.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake

I've known Jim for over 50 years. As a member of the Stowe Sportsmen's Club, Jim and his family were great neighbors on Kilgore Rd. I have many happy memories of him and his family spending time with the Club members on our property. I will miss him and his great sense of humor.
RIP Jim.

I will be in California on June 17th and sadly unable to attend Jim's memorial service. Our fathers were first cousins, making us second cousins, but we were also neighbors on adjoining farms. He was born only three months earlier than I and it was therefore natural that we would work and play together through all of our elementary and high school years. I have many fond memories of enjoying time playing in the woods, but also working side by side in the fields. He was a good playmate and a good man.

Jim was a good friend in high school. We worked together on the stage crew and projection room. I especially remember his laugh and enthusiasm. Raemond and Irene will welcome him in Heaven!

Jim was a true friend, in every sense of the word. If he liked you, you KNEW it! All he wanted in return was your friendship, your knowing the value of being a friend. I am going to miss my friend. I never saw a day in all the 60 years of knowing him where I felt like he was anything but a good man, good friend and good husband to my friend, his wife, Lori. Rest in Peace, Jimmy, I'm going to miss our talks. Heavenly Hugs.
