It is with great sadness that I send my condolences to your family. I met Dan at Thiel College thirty some years ago. At the time, he had adopted a cat that he named ‘Mr Chin’ who turned out to be ‘Mama Chin,’ I got one of her kittens and we named her Chinny. I tell this story because it is a part of Dan’s kindness toward others and all creatures. Dan was kind and intelligent and I was glad to have known him.
My prayers are with you in your grief. Sincerely

It is with the deepest sadness that I send my condolences to all of Dan's family. I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know Dan at Thiel college and calling him my friend. While I had not seen him in in recent years, he was never far from my thoughts. My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
