Barbara M (Klein) Reed

Barbara Mae (Klein) Reed, 89, of Millcreek Twp., Sandy Lake, passed away on Tuesday, June 28 2022 at Embassy of Park Avenue, Meadville.

She was born on December 20, 1932 in Millcreek Twp.; a daughter of the late Adam Peter Klein and Mary Agnes (Williams) Klein.

She attended Glenn Country School and graduated from the former Sandy Lake High School in 1950. She then worked as an office clerk from 1950-55 at the former Smith Motors in Meadville, PA. She then became a homemaker for her family and enjoyed time spent with them. She also enjoyed collecting antique glassware, crafts, traveling, and camping.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her children, daughter; Kimberly (Jeffrey) Brinker, Mercer, son; James (Carolyn) Reed, Gibsonia, nine grandchildren; Jason (Rebecca) Adams, Christopher and Andrew Brinker, Julianna (Corey) Watenpool, Emma (Logan) Bosiljevac, Stephen Reed, Dayna (Steve) Betz, Jordan (Lydia) Reed, and Mattie Reed, eight great-grandchildren; James, Finn, and Rex Watenpool, Ford and Theo Bosiljevac, Marin and Truett Reed, and Trevor Betz, daughter-in-law Janet (Scott) Kingsley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Jeffrey Reed, an infant son Steven, and her beloved husband, James L. Reed, whom she married on June 20, 1953 and who passed away on May 3, 2022.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where visitation will be held from 4 pm – 7pm on Friday, July 1, 2022. A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Saturday July 2, 2022 with the Rev. Virginia LaVan-Gadsby and Rev. Pat Confer, retired minister, officiating.

Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
