Shelly Lynn (Fisher) Best, 50 of Jackson Center, passed away at 8:50 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh. Shelly was born on January 15, 1968 in Grove City to her late father Melvin C. Fisher and surviving mother Norma (Ritenour) Fisher. She was a 1987 graduate of Lakeview High School and worked at Grove City Medical Center in Dietary then left to raise her family. Shelly married her beloved husband, Timothy A. Best on May 28, 1996, he survives at home. Shelly loved researching history and family genealogy. She would host family reunions and enjoyed spending time with her extended family. She volunteered for the 4-H club, bunny patrol, her daughters were in while she also enjoyed making arts and crafts. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them, especially her granddaughter Charlette. Shelly was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her husband and mother, Shelly is survived by her daughters, Jessica (Dailey) Kaufman and her husband Adam of Mercer, and Lauren Best of Jackson Center, granddaughter Charlette Kaufman of Mercer, brother Wade Fisher and wife Diana (Hockenberry) Fisher of Grove City, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin C. Fisher. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 5-7 PM on Thursday, October 11. A funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home at 7 pm with the Reverend Geoffrey M. Wild, Pastor of Church of the Epiphany, Grove City, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shelly’s name to the family to help defray funeral expenses. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.BlackFuneralHomes.net
