Ruth Reiser Obituary

Ruth L. Reiser, 78 of Stoneboro, passed away on January 28, 2019 at Saint Paul’s Senior Living Center in Greenville. Ruth was born on August 30, 1940 in Grove City, PA, to the late John Mills and Helen Heckman. Ruth worked as a teller at the Mercer County State Bank in Stoneboro for a number of years. Ruth enjoyed going on vacation trips in Canada to fish and spend time with her family. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Penguin fan and loved hockey. Ruth is survived by her children John Reiser, Sandy Lake, and Jacqueline (Gregory) Sandusky, Lillington, NC, brother Thomas Mills, Stoneboro, and grandson Dale J. Reiser, Sandy Lake. Ruth is proceeded in death by parents and husband Jack A. “Salt” Reiser, and siblings Susan Carlson and James Mills. Funeral arrangments have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Stoneboro, where the family will be having a private funeral service. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family wishes memorials to be made to Sandy Lake Sportsman Club, 91 Sportsman Club Lane Sandy Lake, PA, and Stoneboro Volunteer Fire Department, 38 Linden Street Stoneboro, PA.
