In the fall of 1948, she started working as a secretary and book keeper at Newell Lumber Company (now Clinch-Tite Corp) of Sandy Lake. She married the love of her life, John “Jack” Faulconbridge, on Friday the 13th of May, 1955, retiring in 1956 to become full time wife and mother. Her greatest joys were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved playing games, reading, and word searches to keep her mind busy and teaching her children and grandchildren how to play cards. She enjoyed sending greeting cards for any occasion, traveling to several states including Hawaii. A 25th wedding anniversary was celebrated by a trip to Scotland/England to visit family. She fed “Her” birdies who rewarded her with their beauty and songs. The deer and squirrels also enjoyed her bird feeders. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on September 14, 2004, son Daniel on May 31, 2016, brothers, Clark and Paul, and sister Dorothy. She is survived by her son John and wife Becky of Grand Blanc, Michigan, daughter Marna VanDyke and husband Ed of Cochranton, daughter in law, Christy Mackey and her son Jake, Montrose, Colorado, grandchildren, John II, Bethany Brown, husband Lee and their son Landon and Ian and Trent VanDyke. She wanted to say “Thank You” to a few special people; nephews Allen Clayton, Don Faulconbridge, neighbors Jim and Mary Deniker, Chuck and Jen Oblich, and Adam, Jack, and Matthew Saeler for all they have done for her. A very special “Thank You” to her daughter Marna and family for always being there when needed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 3236 S.
