Jeanette Leah "Jean" Palicia

Jeanette Leah “Jean” Palicia, Stoneboro, PA, passed away peacefully at 11:30 PM. Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Allegheny General Hospital. She was 81. Born December 22, 1939 in Linglestown, PA to Charles W. and Evelyn B. Baugher Reagle, Sr. Jean was a 1957 graduate of Lakeview High School and married Zachary R. Palicia April 4, 1959. While he was active with the US Air Force, she worked many places where he was stationed including a bar maid at a bowling alley and assistant manager of an apartment complex in Virginia, then a volunteer elementary school clinic aide and religious education teacher, Patrick AFB and Catholic religious program coordinator High Wycombe Air Station, England. Upon returning home she worked at the New Lebanon Dairy Isle, H & R Block and retired from Lakeview Schools as part of the janitorial staff for many years. She was an active member of St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church. Most of all, Jean was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to read, play bingo, going to the Sandy Lake Senior Center and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Survivors include husband Zachary at home, two sons: Richard P. (Darla) Palicia, Mercer, PA, Michael A. Palicia, Dunwoody, GA a daughter Teresa M. (Christian) Scholund, Hingham, Mass.; five grandchildren and a great grandson. Also two sisters: Judy (LeRoy) Krizon and Kay (Daniel) Krizon, both Polk, PA. Jean was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Reagle and a brother Charles W. Reagle, Jr. Funeral arraignments have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 3-7 PM, Friday, July 2, 2021, with prayer vigil at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 3, 2021in St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church, 70 Franklin St., Stoneboro with Rev. Robert A. Manning, as Celebrant.
