Edwin A. Dixon

Edwin A. Dixon, 84 of Worth Twp, Jackson Center, passed away on August 17, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Edwin was born on December 9, 1935 in Auburn, NY to the late Clarence and Marion (Hudson) Dixon. Edwin earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Houghton College and went on to earn his Masters of Theology from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He served as a Minister for 62 years, most recently at the Grove City Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Edwin enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. He was an avid gardener and an animal lover. He also enjoyed reading, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates and enjoyed the days of Willie Stargell. Edwin married his beloved wife, Roslyn L. Doan on August 9, 1958, she survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Dwight A. Dixon of Myerstown, PA, daughter Denise A. Maurin and husband Guy of Penang, Malaysia, grandchildren Meredith Groll and husband Matt, Micah Maurin and wife Kate, Merriel Maurin, and Mathias Maurin, great-grandchildren Bela Groll and Christopher E. Maurin, brothers Alan Dixon and wife Mary, and David Dixon and wife Maura, and sister Kay Cooke and husband Peter. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Dixon on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Grove City Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 845 N. Liberty Road, Grove City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Edwin’s name to the Grove City Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 845 N. Liberty Road, Grove City, PA 16127
