Dorothy H. Reiser

Dorothy H. Reiser, 97 of Hermitage, formerly of Stoneboro, passed away at home on September 19, 2021. Dorothy was born in Homer City on September 30, 1923 to the late Guston and Martha (Valesky) Rosner. Dorothy owned and operated Dorothy’s Beauty Shop in Stoneboro for several years as well as an antique dealer. She was a lifetime member of Stoneboro Chapter #110 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Stoneboro Water Lily Rebekah Lodge #380. She was also a member of the Stoneboro Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and attended the Sandy Lake Senior Center. Dorothy was married to her beloved husband, William E. Reiser on June 12, 1943, he preceded her in death in 1995. Dorothy is survived by her children, Martha Ann (Theodore) Young of Transfer, PA, and William E. (Mary) Reiser, Jr., Naples, FL, grandchildren Andrew Reiser, Barclay (Sarah) Reiser, Carolyn (Doran) Bosso, Travis (Elizabeth) Young, and Colleen (David) Joseph, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her five brothers and seven sisters. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. Funeral services will be private. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
