Charles Westlake Obituary

Charles Floyd Westlake, 83, of Sandy Lake passed away February 23, 2021 at AHN Grove City. Charles was born on January 11, 1938 in Worth Township to the late Floyd and Dessie (McClelland) Westlake. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and then went to work for A&P in Grove City and Spang in Sandy Lake. Charles was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and he loved to be outdoors especially hunting. Most of all Charles loved to spend time with his family, he was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed. In 1958 Charles married his beloved wife, Patricia (Sopher) Westlake who preceded him in death on November 29, 2015. Charles is survived by his son, Donald Westlake (Connie) of Sandy Lake, his daughter, Deanna Westlake (Linda Bish) of Sandy Lake; his grandchildren, Falon Gervais (Erik) of Meadville, Stephanie Westlake of Stoneboro and Jeremy Westlake of Sandy Lake; his great-grandchildren, Bella Cavelli, Connor Cavelli and Corbin Gervais; and two sisters, Janet Zimmerman and Esther Mae Mitchelltree, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Owen Gervais. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 3236 S. Main Street, Sandy Lake, PA where friends and family are welcome from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2021, a funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with Charles’ niece, Barbie Haizlett, officiating.
